We tested SeaBis on 220 vessels over 15 years, see testimonials here, then went commercial in February 2007. At that time we experienced much anger aimed at a major engine manufacturer about electrolysis damage to the outboard part of their engine systems. The manufacture denied there was a problem. By July 2008 that manufacturer produced a optional kit to electrically isolate the outboard legs. The kit has metal bolts all the way through the insulation.

January 2010. Four vessels in four weeks where the cause of electrolysis corrosion were traced to paint over insulation. Three of the four vessels used equipment manufactured in China. The fourth is unknown. One cause was paint over insulation INSIDE an alternator.

August 2009. New dredges fitted with the SeaBis System. Auxiliary Generators traced as the only cause of electrolysis current. The Manufacturer corrected the design of their electronics to correctly isolate them.

July 2009. A complete novice, with on line help from SeaBis, identifies an incorrectly installed windscreen wiper motor and the engine as causes of electrolysis corrosion. A electrician reinstalls the wiper and the Owner fits an Isolator to the engine. Problem solved.

June 2009. In far North Western Australia, at a remote cattle station, the Owner uses SeaBis to identify causes of electrolysis corrosion then eliminate them. A complex task for a very large vessel with 2 engines and 2 generators. Particularly in such a remote location. Primary causes were equipment designed for land - not marine use.

May 2009. SeaBis System being installed by manufactures of long range luxury power vessels in Australia.

March 2009. SeaBis indication accepted as proof of electrolysis in a legal claim.

January 2009. The SeaBis System installed to two very large professional fishing vessels. Each vessel was well known to the ports electrician so were cleared of electrolysis in one day each. On the third day they were fully powered. One produced an alarm after 15 minutes. An alternator field winding wire terminal had broken loose and was touching the alternator metal body so causing electrolysis. Other-wise both fully clear of electrolysis.

February 2009. The SeaBis System part of a new international dredge. Only 1 SeaBis was required as the Bridge had centralized monitoring of all 4 battery banks and only 1 alternator. On installation SeaBis flashed Critical. It was rapidly traced to an on deck generators sensing electronics. The supplier replaced the generator.

November 2008. Acceptance as compulsory for new builds in Western Australia.

November 2008. The SeaBis System became proof of electrolysis for a major insurance claim. We found both the damaged vessel and the Marina were causing saturation level electrolysis.

August 2008, A vessel, three months out of slip repairs is sinking by the stern. The SeaBis System is installed, the cause traced to a cigarette lighter. It was disconnected. There is no more electrolysis.

July 10, 2008. The first major insurance claim for damages caused by electrolysis. We are able to prove, absolutely, the causes of the electrolysis.

June 2008, A live on board yacht is sinking and bilge pump is running continuously. A single engine 2 alternator 2 battery bank system Two SeaBis installed and numerous causes eliminated.

April 21, 2008. News is spreading. This week contacts from UAE, USA and Canada. March 30, 2008. We install a much improved internet site with an Easier Method of electrical isolation for domestic vessels, with a simple wiring diagram and kits: here.

April 30, 2008. A very major manufacture of engines with outboard legs in various combinations is selling an optional kit to electrically isolate the outboard part and so stop electrolysis. March 2008. The traffic has doubled again.

July 2007, Live on board yacht Owner had earlier fitted an Electrolysis Blocker then, 3 months later, had to repair electrolysis damage. He installed the SeaBis System, removed causes of electrolysis then plugged in to the shore. SeaBis immediately indicates Critical. With the Electrolysis Blocker installed. Rapidly traced to a laptop computer mains power supply. Bought a isolated power supply. Now SeaBis indicated Normal. The Owner felt strongly about paying for a proven ineffective Electrolysis Blocker.
NB. The Isolation Transformer is rated at 400 watts so will power a small TV and mast head amplifier ONLY. A kettle draws 2500 watts. In addition a safety device MUST be fitted to the vessel as the Isolation Transformer beaks the Earth path to shore which beaks the safety system. When a fully qualified electrician understands this and fits a safety device to the vessel life is a lot safer.

November 2007. Internet traffic and telephone contact had doubled.

My Electrolysis Blocker does not work...
Electricity authorities are paralleling the mains power supply earth and neutral. So the neutral shorts the Electrolysis Blocker - it has no benefit what so ever. How about the Neutral and Active wires? The battery negative is connected 24 hours, every day. Shore power is not. Electrolysis flows through the water. The SeaBis System will fix the cause - guaranteed. Details here.
 

If I remove all power, that will fix it...
